Technically, you can refill the printer tanks with any third-party ink, but it may damage the print head and also void the warranty.

For additional convenience, you can purchase high-yield cartridges from the market. But those compatible cartridges won’t be able to reset the chip which is very disappointing. So I suggest getting a CISS ink system with it rather than replacing the cartridges each time.

If you don’t want to utilize the CISS system simply replace the chips from the refillable cartridges and place the original chips that arrived with the printer, apply with the strong glue and you’re good to go! You can apply this trick on all of the WF printers which don’t have compatible refillable cartridge chipsets.

The great low cost per print is admirable, but it may increase with color printing. There is a flatbed scanner combined with an automatic document feeder to hold 50 sheets.
